While participation in parachurch ministry offers opportunity for community across traditions and for using one’s capacities in practical action, there is much more to being church than community and practical action.
This leads me to a few investigative questions:
- If you serve in parachurch ministry, how well does it encourage the development of city church? What works? What does not work? What is missing?
- Is it proper to use parachurch ministry as scaffolding for the development of city church? Why or why not?
