The Worship Stance is Christians’ life together, including their reason, affections, and actions toward God. The Worship Stance is Christians’ life together, a life that involves everything about us. We live life together by putting our heads together and sharing the fruit of our intellect and cognition. We bring what we have perceived from Word and World, what we have come to understand. We put our hearts together and share our values and affections. We bring the very center of our lives, from emotions to thinking to everything else. We put our hands together and take action in the church and the world. We work alongside one another, turning our trust in Christ into action in the world.

Christians live toward God by choosing to live alongside one another in ways that benefit others for God’s glory. Nothing we do is solo; everything involves a connection with one another. Everything is a partnership, a give-and-take that produces goodness that believers share. As we partner with God and one another, we mature toward Christlikeness, and the church grows.

Christians live toward God by serving the holistic fitness of our siblings. We help one another develop the fitness needed to live well for God’s glory so that we have the soundness of mind and body that provide the freedom to thrive. Wholeself health is not just about getting things done; health is about who we are becoming.

Christians live toward God by serving others’ holistic development for God’s glory. Fitness for the moment is not enough: there must be progression to maturity in Christ. And this is a process that takes time and effort. Maturity is not about years; it’s about development.
