Made One to Glorify

Key Idea: The never-ending, never failing, Messiah-sourced one people-family-temple of God lives to proclaim the splendor and weightiness of God.

Messiah has made his church one people, one family, and one temple with a unity that never ends and never fails. In him, the church is secure. We are his building, his temple, and he is our foundation and cornerstone. He holds us together forever and builds us up to be like him. In him, human individualism that can skew us inward and trap us in silos becomes shared diversity among fellow priests of God. In him, we live as one building, one dwelling of God, declaring his glory everywhere.

This declaration is our one eternal purpose for communal life. Together, across ages, cultures, and languages, we proclaim the splendor and weightiness of the one who loves us. In Messiah, the distractions that can turn our faces become prayers to our Father, options for worshiping him together wherever we are, and new ideas to try out. As his temple, we reflect his splendor and weightiness by pointing to him, not ourselves.
