Reflections on Romans 8:26-‬30

For the most part, we lack the skills to have a conversation with a God we cannot see. Still, prayer is one of the foremost duties of a priest of God. So, how can we do our duty well? We carry out our duty to pray by relying on the Spirit, who intercedes on our behalf with groans of concern that words cannot express. His re-praying of our prayers always lines up with the Father’s will, for the Father is God and the Spirit is God. His re-praying always perfectly matches our deepest needs and desires, for he lives in us and knows us better than we know ourselves. The Spirit knows us fully. The Father knows us fully. Even more, the Father has customized plans in place to transform our brokenness to be just like the beauty and goodness of Jesus.
