This post is a Musing. Musings are the first tiny bits of understanding made visible and public.
Key Idea: Yahweh’s loyal love and infinite holiness make him the fierce protector of his people, the one who terrifies and destroys all who oppose him, rendering them utterly useless and without influence.
~~~~~~
Yahweh’s loyal love and infinite holiness make him the fierce protector of his people. He is constant in his protection and care and steadfast in his affection. His goodness toward his people is grounded in infinite holiness that drives the protection of his people and his own glory. In his goodness, he is present with his people and against all who stand in opposition.
As a fierce protector, Yahweh terrifies and destroys all who oppose him. His passionate and fearful protection of his people has an infinite destructive capacity that maintains their safety and security, for he keeps them from eternal and ontological injury.
Yahweh renders his opposition utterly useless and without influence. He completely removes the capacity of his enemies, breaking their structures into nothing and rendering their power unusable. Of course, there will be struggles under the sun for his people, but the end is sure: God’s enemies will meet their just end, and his people will remain utterly safe in him.
Launching Pad: Psalm 46.8-11
