Life Together as Journey

The church’s life is a communal journey toward God and a constant portrayal of the One to whom we journey.

We are on a journey. Most of the time it doesn’t look like it, but it’s true. Our mode of travel is strange, filled with song and hearing and dining and laughing and weeping. Our journey is filled with a richness of ritual, changing across time and culture. Our company of travelers changes, some reaching the destination sooner, as other travelers join. Along the way, we tell the stories of the One who is our destination. We describe his love and grace and splendor. We call out for others to join us. And all the while, we journey, sometimes focused, often distracted, but always moving toward the glorious One who knows us most and loves us best.
